HAWKE'S BAY'S FIRST SUCESSFUL YOUTH PARLIAMENTARIAN 2010

Last night seven Year 12 & 13 students from across Napier entered a speech competition to be one of Napier’s two Youth Parliamentarians.

“The calibre of candidates was exceptional” said MP for Napier Chris Tremain.

The topic of the Speeches “Five things I’d do to make Hawke’s Bay the best place to live in the world” meant that the speeches tackled all manner of issues from Local Government amalgamation, the EIT becoming a full university, our need of sandy beaches, social cohesion and much more.

Congratulations to Jordan Anderson of Sacred Heart College who was selected to represent MP for Napier and Senior Government Whip Chris Tremain at Youth Parliament 2010 in July.
